To rent a car with GSS Car Rental in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, or Batumi, you must present a valid driver’s license and a passport or national ID.

These documents are required at pickup. Make sure your license is valid for driving in Georgia. For more information, contact our team or check license validity on our website.

You do not require an international driver's license in order to drive in Georgia if your driver's license is from one of the 67 countries that have signed Vienna Convention. Unless there is a separate agreement about exceptional conditions between Georgia and the country that awarded your driver's license, drivers from other countries that are not on the list require an International Driver's License. If you're visiting Georgia with a US driver’s license, you must also carry a valid International Driving Permit (IDP) to legally drive. This applies to car rentals across Tbilisi, Batumi, Kutaisi, and all regions of Georgia. Always have both documents with you when renting a car.

The daily car rental rate based on a 24-hour rental day starting with the hour you pick up the car, insurance, and all government taxis are included in the rental price.

Every rental from GSS Car Rental includes comprehensive insurance coverage valid across Georgia:

  • Collision Damage Coverage (CDW):
    If you're at fault in an accident, your liability is limited to a $200 deductible. If the official police report confirms you're not at fault, the deductible is waived.
  • Third-Party Liability (TPL):
    Covers up to $30,000 for damages to other vehicles or property within Georgian territory.

Please note: If you plan to drive into Armenia, TPL insurance must be purchased at the border, as our policy does not cover liability in Armenia.

We will hold the amount of $200 in cash as a guarantee to cover any possible damages to the vehicle which are not covered by insurance, or insurance franchise which will be held by the company in regards to reimburse the damage.

There is no cancellation cost at GSS Car Rental as long as you notify the company in advance about it via email or by phone.

The second driver is free of charge; any other additional drivers will cost 5 USD daily

You may only cross the border to Armenia or Azerbaijan by a rented vehicle, border crossing documentation should be prepared in advance in regards to travel to those destinations.

You can either pick up the car from the company office at 11 Abel Enukidze Street, or we can deliver it to your hotel, also we can meet you in the airport and handed over the car at the Airport parking lot.

You can easily update your booking details in one of the following ways:

  • Visit your Booking Confirmation Page using the link sent to your email. There, you can edit personal information, pickup time, or return details directly.
  • If you prefer, you can contact our support team by email or phone, and we’ll adjust the reservation for you.

In case of a road traffic accident or mechanical or other kinds of damage to a vehicle, the customer must summon patrolling police and document the incident. She/he must also call GSS Car Rental or representative of “ALDAGI” on the following phone number: (995 32) 2444999 and inform insurance agent about the above-mentioned fact, otherwise, the insurance company will disengage itself from the reimbursement obligation.

We don’t have any restrictions on mileage.

The company will provide the car with a full tank of fuel, and it should be returned with a full tank, otherwise, missing fuel will be reimbursed by customer.

Yes, your car rental with GSS Car Rental in Tbilisi will remain valid even if your flight is delayed. We monitor flight arrival times and ensure your vehicle is ready when you land. Just make sure to provide your correct flight number during booking.
